Essential Items to Bring for Muay Thai Training
When heading to a Muay Thai gym or fitness center for a training session, it's important to come prepared with the necessary gear and equipment. Here are six essential items that I always bring with me:
1) Muay Thai Shorts
Muay Thai shorts are a staple for any practitioner. These shorts are designed to be short for a reason - they provide more freedom for your legs. Whether you're throwing kicks, knees, or performing any other movements, the shorter length allows for a greater range of motion.
2) Hand Wraps
Hand wraps are a must-bring item for any Muay Thai training session. They serve multiple purposes, the most important being the protection they provide for your hands. Wrapping your hands properly can help prevent injuries such as sprains or fractures. Additionally, hand wraps also absorb moisture, keeping your hands dry and comfortable throughout your workout.
3) Boxing Gloves
Boxing gloves are essential for any striking-based martial art like Muay Thai. They offer protection for both you and your training partner during sparring or pad work. Invest in a good pair of gloves that fit well and provide adequate padding to minimize the risk of hand injuries.
4) Mouth Guard
