About the Coach

My name is David and I'm an American who traveled all the way from California to Thailand in search of a new life. I fell in love with Thailand's food, people, culture, and Muay Thai. I joined a local gym and trained for 5 years competing in numerous amateur and professional bouts. I still continue to compete professionally in Thailand.

Before I became a coach, I was an English Teacher for 10 years. I came to Thailand as a teacher in 2018 and became interested in Muay Thai. I joined a gym and eventually started competing. I thoroughly enjoyed training and competing and it became a new passion. Muay Thai has been a life changing part of my life. Though the training is tough and rugged, the positive outcomes are almost infinite. Other than the superficial positive outcomes (e.g. better health, stronger, and healthier body), the more substantial outcomes are what changes lives. These outcomes include better self-restraint, discipline, increased willpower, and a more structured lifestyle. The training that fighters go through is difficult; however, the results can potentially make life itself easier.

Teaching and training are my greatest passions and combining the 2 is a dream I'd like to make true. Furthermore, I look forward to teaching something I love and hope to improve others' quality of life through fitness and Muay Thai.

NMD Mission

At the end of my program, members will have acquired offensive and defensive techniques, endurance, speed, accuracy, and explosive strength. I help beginner Muay Thai and kickboxing practitioners build fundamental skills without going to a Muay Thai and kickboxing gym. In my personalized Muay Thai program, I focus on key fitness categories that enhance performance. These categories are technique form, balance, core strength, endurance, and agility. I assess each member's strengths and weaknesses regarding these categories and design workout plans to augment Muay Thai performance and get you in fighting shape.
